On Ash Wednesday, Christians receive ashes the beginning of the season of Lent.In Genesis 3:19 reads "For you are dirt and to dirt you shall return." Also in Genesis 18:22,27 Abraham and the Lord walked toward Sodom and Abraham said to the Lord,"Will you sweep away the innocent with the guilty?" He began asking the Lord whether He would spare the city for the sake of 50,45,40,30,20, and 10 innocent?.The Lord said for the sake of those 10,I will not destroy it. Abraham said to his Lord,"See how I am presuming to speak to my Lord,though I am but dust and ashes."
