The Annunciation

Whether praying in the church,in the car, at home, in a hospital or nursing/assisted living home, we, prayer warriors, are praying the Joyful mystery of the Rosary on Mondays and Saturdays. The first joyful mystery that we meditate on is the Annunciation, the announcement of the birth of Jesus to Mary by the Angel Gabriel,who was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth. The Angel told Mary,"Hail,favored one.Do not be afraid, you have found favor with God. The Holy Spirit will come upon and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. The child to be born will be called Holy,Son of God. Elizabeth , your relative has conceived a Son(John the Baptist) in her old age who was called barren. And the Angel said,"For nothing will be impossible for God"and Mary said,"Behold I AM the handmaid(handmaiden of the Lord.May it be done to me according to Your Word.This is Mary's Fiat.She said "yes to God".She surrendered her plan,her will, for her life and yielded to God's plan,His will. Her faith remained strong at the foot of the Cross.Her faith was truly a gift of God's grace,God's pure love for her and for us too. We must imitate her faith, her faithfulness.She is a Virgin,our Mother and our Queen, of all mankind in Heaven and on Earth.Her most powerful and Sacred Name whom we invoke to pray for us,to help us. God is using these names Annunciation and Announcement(spells Ann means Grace and is Mary's mother's name,Ann and is also my Baptismal name);Gabriel- Gabriel is the name of the Church that my parents attend on Antioch Road. A few Gabriella's,I have met along the way with one Mother's name Rosa(Mary the Rose) and the other Gladys(Glad) Rejoice and Be Glad for your reward will be great in Heaven.; Handmaiden(spells I AM and den);Galilee(Galilee spells LAG backwards,my initials.My maiden name spells Gold.At the funeral masses,family members read (Wisdom 3:1-9) It is God's Hidden Counsels On Suffering.It reads the Souls of the Just are in the Hands of God...for if before men they be punished yet is their hope full of immortality,chastised a little they shall be greatly blessed because God tried them and found them worthy of Himself. As Gold in the furnace,he proved them and as sacrificial offerings,He took them to Himself...the Lord shall be their King.Those who trust in Him shall understand Truth and the Faithful shall abide in Him in Love.Because Grace and Mercy are with His Holy ones and His care is with His elect. After the funeral mass,the Harc members pray for the repose of the soul who has died.Through Jesus' burial and resurrection from the dead,God has made the grave a HOLY place and restored to us Eternal Life. Harc members pray a scriptural Rosary in a small booklet written by Larry London. This book includes the Beatitudes(In Matthew);Dependence on God(Matthew6:25-34;7:7) God's Children(1John5-9;2:15,17;3;2.3;24;5:4)The Raising of Lazarus(John 11:1,4,17,21,25,26,41,42,43,44).The Last Supper Discourse(John 14;1,2,36,16-17,23,27;John 16:22,33)When you read these scriptures the end of one's life ,you will know how to live your life. God will use this book as His instrument in a very powerful way.I can see it by the name of Larry(the many Larry's who came into my life.and his last name London(Big Ben is there.)God Bless.Lin
